My planning time for the 2026-2027 school year is 1st period, 8:38 AM to 9:28 AM. This will be the main time I will be able to reply to emails and other instances of parent contact. I will be responsible for students the remainder of the school day and may not be available after that time.d

Google Classroom (here)
Throughout my courses, I will update Google Classroom regularly with all pertinent information for each chapter. These updates may include notes, vocabulary, classwork assignments, study guides, project information, and more.
In the past, Google Classroom has been sketchy when it comes to parent codes. Until that is a feasible option, please check your student's Google Classroom using their own login information.
Addtionally, I will communicate any necessary course informaiton through Parentsquare.
Google Classroom codes by will be given to each student in the period they are in my class.

I use this website as a professional tool througout my classes. This website will be updated regularly and will house information throughout the school year.
Math classes can use this for information regarding assignments, while enrichment classes will use it regarding projects and tech fair information. Extracurricular groups that I manage, such as Quiz Bowl, Basketball, and Alabama Council for Economics Competitions, will be located here as well and will be updated with information as soon as I have it.
I also use my website to share information and files with students via Google Drive.
Face to Face Meeting
To schedule a parent meeting, please call Rainbow Middle School at 256-442-1095 and ask for Mrs. Newcomb, the school counselor.

If you would like for me to give you a call, please email me at daniel_sigler@ecboe.org and tell me your name, child’s name, the reason you are requesting the call (so that I may research all needed information), and the best time(s) for me to call you and I will certainly do so.
Addtionally, you may call the Rainbow Middle School office and request that I give you a call. Please note that if it is after my planning period on a given day, I may not be able to call you until my planning period on the following day.
